Bloomfield, N.J. - The Farmingdale State men's golf team shot a tournament-low final round score of 305 for a two-day total of 614 and a runner-up finish at the NYU/Manhattanville Fall Invitational at Forest Hill Field Club. Skidmore College (301-308-609) captured the team championship.
Junior Scott Sessions (Pleasantville, N.Y.) finished in second place individually after recording a two-day total of 146. Sessions opened with a 74 and shot a 1-over par 72 this afternoon, which was the lowest score of the day. Sophomore Andrew Goldman (Hauppauge, N.Y.) posted a final round 76 for a total of 155, while senior Matt Pollock (Northport, N.Y.) shot a 78 (78-78-156) today. Freshman Jesse Kovacs (St. James, N.Y.) carded a final round 79 for a two-day score of 157 for Farmingdale State.
Skidmore's Zach Grossman (69-75-144) earned individual medalist honors after finishing two strokes ahead of Sessions.
RPI (616) finished in third place and co-host NYU (618) took fourth.
The Rams next will play in the Skyline Conference Championship at the Bethpage State Park - Red Course on Sunday, October 19th and Monday, October 20th.
