Newburgh, N.Y. - The Farmingdale State men's golf team earned a 13 shot victory over runner-up St. Joseph's at the Mount Saint Mary College Invitational held at the Powelton Club in Newburgh, N.Y. The Rams posted a team-total of 301 (+21).

Farmingdale State was led by senior Matt Pollock (Northport, N.Y.), junior Scott Sessions (Pleasantville, N.Y.) and sophomore Andrew Goldman (Hauppauge, N.Y.) who all fired tournament low rounds of 75. Ian Wilson of SUNY Cobleskill joined the three Rams players as he also recorded a round of 75.

Freshman Jesse Kovacs (St. James, N.Y.) pitched in with a career-best score of 76 for Farmingdale State.

SUNY Cobleskill (322) finished in third place, while host school Mount Saint Mary (324) took fourth.

The Rams next will host Manhattanville in a dual match at Bethpage Red on Tuesday, October 7th.
