Shoreham, N.Y. - The Farmingdale State men's golf team posted an opening round team-total of 294 and are two shots off the lead at the Dowling September Shootout at Tallgrass Golf Club in Shoreham, N.Y.
The Rams were led by sophomore Andrew Goldman (Hauppauge, N.Y.) and senior Matt Pollock (Northport, N.Y.) who each posted rounds of 1-over par 72. Sophomore Mike Imbriale (Hicksville, N.Y.) carded a 74, while junior Scott Sessions (Pleasantville, N.Y.) shot a 76. Junior Matt Adwar (Holbrook, N.Y.) pitched in with a 77 for Farmingdale State.
Concordia (292) holds a one shot lead over Le Moyne (293) and the Rams are two behind. Farmingdale State is the only non-Division II school in the field of 12 teams.
Tomorrow's final round begins at 7:00 a.m.
