Sayville, N.Y. - The Farmingdale State men's golf team shot a 9-over par 293 and earned a 33 stroke victory over runner-up St. Joseph's at the Golden Eagle Invitational this afternoon in Sayville, N.Y. The Rams have now earned victories in their first two tournaments of the fall.

Farmingdale State junior Matt Adwar (Holbrook, N.Y.) earned his first win with a career-low round of 70. He finished two shots ahead of runner-up John Melandro (72) from St. Joe's. Junior Scott Sessions (Pleasantville, N.Y.) and sophomore Andrew Goldman (Hauppauge, N.Y.) each carded 2-over par 73's for the Rams. Senior Rocco Costa (Massapequa, N.Y.) fired a 77 to finish sixth individually for Farmingdale State.

The Rams have a week off before heading to Tallgrass Golf Club in Shoreham, N.Y. for the Dowling College Shootout on Sunday, September 21st and Monday, September 22nd.
