Montauk, N.Y. - The Farmingdale State men's golf team shot a final round 301 for a two-day total of 613 and a 53 stroke victory over St. Joseph's in a 36-hole dual match at Montauk Downs State Park this weekend.
Farmingdale State senior Matt Pollock (Northport, N.Y.), who trailed teammate Andrew Goldman (Hauppauge, N.Y.) by four strokes, shot a tournament low round of 72 this afternoon. Pollock earned individual medalist honors with a two-day total of 149 after finishing two shots ahead of runner-up Goldman (73-78). Junior Scott Sessions (Pleasantville, N.Y.) carded a final round 75, while junior Matt Adwar (Holbrook, N.Y.) posted a 76 today.
Zac Campanelli led the Golden Eagles with a team-best score of 73.
The Rams next will head to Island Hills Country Club in Sayville, N.Y. on Thursday, September 11th for the Golden Eagle Invitational.
