2014 Farmingdale State Men's Golf Spring Recap

Farmingdale, N.Y. - The men's golf team earned their sixth straight trip to the NCAA Division III National Championships held at Grandover Resort in Greensboro, N.C. The Rams finished in 23rd place and missed the cut by 12 strokes.

Senior Rich Kelly (Oceanside, N.Y.) posted a two-day total of 146 (70-76) and finished T19, missing the individual cut by two shots.

Farmingdale State captured the Long Island Intercollegiate Championship for the first time in school history (298-292-590) posting a 25-stroke victory over Division II Dowling College. Freshman Andrew Goldman (Hauppauge, N.Y.) was the medalist with two rounds of 71 and senior Adam Larkin (Bellmore, N.Y.) finished second (77-68).

The Rams finished second in the Farmingdale State Spring Invitational (308-297) as well as the Peter King Memorial Tournament.

Larkin was named to the Ping All-Northeast Region Team for the second consecutive season.
