Rams Finish in 23rd Place at NCAA's

2014 NCAA Division III Golf Championships

East Course: Par 72 - 7,210 Yards


Greensboro, N.C. - Farmingdale State shot a team-total of 313 on the East Course in the second round of the 2014 NCAA Division III Golf Championships at Grandover Resort in Greensboro, N.C. The Rams finished in 23rd place with a two-day total of 611 and missed the cut by 12 strokes.

Senior Rich Kelly (Oceanside, N.Y.), who fired an opening round two-under par 70, followed with a 76 this afternoon. Kelly birdied the final two holes including a chip in from behind the green on 18 for a T20 finish. Senior Adam Larkin (Bellmore, N.Y.) shot a team-best round of 75, while sophomore Scott Sessions (Pleasantville, N.Y.) carded a 79.

Schreiner University (285-293-578) holds a four stroke lead over Oglethorpe for the team championship.

Brian Burt (-8) of Hampden-Sydney College has a four shot lead over three players individually.
