Farmingdale, N.Y. - The Farmingdale State men's golf team a shot 9-over par 297 and defeated St. Joseph's by 15 shots in a dual match at the Bethpage State Park - Blue Course this afternoon.
The Rams had three players card rounds of 73 today: sophomore Scott Sessions (Pleasantville, N.Y.), senior Rich Kelly (Oceanside, N.Y.) and junior Matt Pollock (Northport, N.Y.). Freshman Sam Riva (Cadrezzate, Italy) shot a 6-over par 78 this afternoon for Farmingdale State.
The Golden Eagles were led by Christian Bleck (76), Zac Campanelli (77) and John Melandro (79).
Sessions, Kelly and Pollock went to a sudden death playoff for individual medalist honors beginning on the par 4 10th hole. Pollock made a bogey, while Sessions and Kelly advanced with pars. On the second playoff hole (par 4 9th hole), Sessions made a birdie three and Kelly carded a par four.
