Manorville, N.Y. - The Farmingdale State men's golf team is currently tied for fifth place out of 14 teams after the opening round of the 10th Annual Peter King Memorial Tournament hosted by Dowling College. The Rams posted a team total of 317 in the rain and wind at Rock Hill Golf and Country Club in Manorville, N.Y.

Senior Adam Larkin (Bellmore, N.Y.) led the way and is tied for 10th place individually after an opening round of 77. Senior Rich Kelly (Oceanside, N.Y.) posted a 78, while sophomore Chris Brosi (Stony Brook, N.Y.) carded an 80 for Farmingdale State.

Nyack College (297) holds a 10 stroke lead over Southern New Hampshire University (307) after Friday's first round.

Sean Lawrence (Nycak), Matthew Yun (Nyack), Scott Underhill (SNH) and Keith Prokop (Dominican) all shot one over par 72's and are tied for first place individually.

The Rams are only one of three Division III schools in the field.

Saturday's final round will begin at 11:40 a.m.
