Utica, N.Y. - The Farmingdale State men's golf team opened with a team-total of 300 in the first round of the Hamilton College Fall Invitational held at Valley View Golf Club in Utica, N.Y. The Rams are in fifth place overall as they trail NYU by five strokes.

Sophomore Scott Sessions (Pleasantville, N.Y.) led the way for Farmingdale State with a team-low 73. Junior Matt Pollock (Northport, N.Y.) carded a 75, while senior Rich Kelly (Oceanside, N.Y.) and sophomore Chris Brosi (Stony Brook, N.Y.) each shot rounds of 76. Senior Adam Larkin (Bellmore, N.Y.) recorded a 78 in the opening round.

Host school Hamilton and St. Lawrence are tied for second with a total of 296 and SUNY Delhi "A' (297) is two off the lead.

The Rams begin play in the final round tomorrow morning at 9:00 a.m.
