Farmingdale, N.Y. - For the fifth consecutive season, the Farmingdale State golf team traveled to the NCAA Division III Golf Championships held in Sandestin Golf and Beach Resort in Destin, Florida. The Rams finished in a tie for 32nd place.
In the spring, the Rams won the Old Westbury Invitational as junior Adam Larkin (Bellmore, N.Y.) earned medalist honors. Farmingdale State finished second in the Farmingdale State Invitational, the Palamountain Invitational and the Long Island Intercollegiate.
Sophomore Matt Pollock (Northport, N.Y.), who was named the Skyline Golf Scholar Athlete of the Year, shot a career-low 71 at the Palamountain Invitational.
Larkin was named First Team All-Northeast Region as selected by the Golf Coaches Association of America.
