Sayville, N.Y. - The Farmingdale State men's golf team shot a 305 today and finished with a two-day total of 610 at the Long Island Intercollegiate Championship at Island Hills Country Club in Sayville, N.Y. Dowling College (293-300-593) captured the team championship finishing 17 strokes ahead of the Rams.
Farmingdale State was led by freshman Scott Sessions (Pleasantville, N.Y.) who finished in a tie for fourth place after rounds of 74 and 77 for a two-day total of 151. Junior Adam Larkin (Bellmore, N.Y.) tied for seventh place (79-73-152), while freshman Chris Brosi (Stony Brook, N.Y.) posted rounds of 75 and 78 and finished in ninth place. Sophomore Matt Pollock (Northport, N.Y.) shot a pair of 77's for a T10 finish.
Suffolk Community College (619) took third place and Nassau Community College (620) finished in fourth place.
Dowling's Anthony Corsi was the individual medalist (70-72-142) and teammate Kurt Brey (70-75-145) was runner-up.
