Middletown, Conn. - Junior Rich Kelly (Oceanside, N.Y.) finished in a tie for fifth place individually after shooting rounds of 74 & 75 (149) at the Manhattanville Spring Invitational at Lyman Orchards Golf Club in Middletown, Conn.
In round two, Kelly went out in 41 and posted a 2-under par 34 on the back nine for a round of 75. Junior Adam Larkin (Bellmore, N.Y.) shot a 76 for a two-day total of 158 and sophomore Matt Pollock (Northport, N.Y.) carded a 79 for a total of 158. Freshmen Will Ruth (Holbrook, N.Y.) and Scott Sessions (Pleasantville, N.Y.) each shot final round 79's for the Rams.
Farmingdale State finished in eighth place with a two-day total of 628 (319-309). Skidmore captured the team championship (299-302-601) finishing one stroke ahead of Williams (303-299-602).
Skidmore's John McCarthy earned individual medalist honors after shooting rounds of 74 and 72 for a total of 146.
The Rams next will travel to Southward Ho Country Club in Bay Shore, N.Y. for the Old Westbury Invitational on Monday, April 15th. The first tee-time is 11:00 a.m.
