Farmingdale State Invitational - April 5 & 6, 2013

Farmingdale, N.Y. - The Farmingdale State men's golf team finished in second place out of seven teams at the 2013 Farmingdale State Invitational at the Bethpage State Park - Red Course. The Rams shot rounds of 314 and 316 and finished nine strokes behind team champion RPI (320-301-621).

Famringdale State was led by junior Adam Larkin (Bellmore, N.Y.) who finished in third place individually after posting rounds of 77 and 73 (150). Freshman Scott Sessions (Pleasantville, N.Y.) (77-79-156) tied for 10th place, while freshman William Ruth (Holbrook, N.Y.) recorded rounds of 77 and 82 for the Rams.

St. Joseph's Christian Bleck shot an even par 70 in the final round to finish with a two-day total of 148 and tie Steve Kluemper of Centenary (74-74-148). Bleck recorded a par 4 on the first playoff hole to earn medalist honors.

NYU and Nassau Community College each tied for third place with two-day team totals of 633.

The Rams next will travel to Lyman Orchards Golf Club in Middletown, Conn. for the Manhattanville Spring Invitatonal on Saturday, April 13th & Sunday, April 14th.
