Riverhead, N.Y. - Junior Adam Larkin (Bellmore, N.Y.) shot a final round 73 leading Farmingdale State to a fifth place finish out of 17 teams at the Dowling College Shootout at Long Island National Golf Club in Riverhead, N.Y.
The Rams shot a final round 315 for a two-day team total of 625. Larkin finished in a tie for sixth place individually (76-73-149). Freshman Scott Sessions (Pleasantville, N.Y.) carded an 81 for a total of 157 for Farmingdale State.
Host school Dowling College captured the team championship (315-297-612) after edging out runner-up Adelphi University (301-311-612) on a match of cards. Post University (619) finished in third place.
Adelphi's Ryan Snouffer (71-72-143) was the individual medalist finishing one stroke ahead of Jeff Schaller from Concordia.
The Rams next will host their Skyline Conference Invitational at the Bethpage State Park - Red Course on Friday, September 28th.
