Rams Nine Strokes Back at Dowling Shootout

Riverhead, N.Y. - The Farmingdale State men's golf team shot a first round team score of 310 and are tied for sixth place trailing first place Adelphi University by nine strokes. There are 17 teams competing in the Dowling College Shootout at Long Island National Golf Club in Riverhead, N.Y.

The Rams were led by junior Adam Larkin (Bellmore, N.Y.) and freshman Scott Sessions (Pleasantville, N.Y.) who each posted rounds of 76. Junior Rich Kelly (Oceanside, N.Y.) and sophomore Matt Pollock (Northport, N.Y.) both shot 79 for Farmingdale State.

Nyack College (302) is currently in second place, while Concordia College and Post University each carded totals of 308 and are tied for third place.

Jeff Schaller (Concordia) and Andrew Dame (Assumption) lead individually after shooting rounds of 70.

Tomorrow's final round will begin at noon.
