Sayville, N.Y. - The Farmingdale State men's golf team captured the eight-team St. Joseph's College Golden Eagle Invitational after posting a 294 to defeat runner-up Nassau Community College by eight strokes.

Junior Adam Larkin (Bellmore, N.Y.) led the Rams with an even par round of 71 and a tie for second place finish. Junior Rich Kelly (Oceanside, N.Y.) carded a one-over 72, while freshman Scott Sessions (Pleasantville, N.Y.) birdied the final hole for a 74. Sophomore Matt Pollock (Northport, N.Y.) finished in eighth place after posting a 77 for Farmingdale State.

St. Joseph's freshman Christian Bleck earned medalist honors after shooting a school record one-under par 70.

The Rams next will travel to Long Island National Golf Club for the Dowling College Shootout on Friday, September 21st and Saturday, September 22nd.
