Farmingdale, N.Y. - The Farmingdale State men's golf team defeated Old Westbury in a dual match this afternoon at the Bethpage State Park - Yellow Course in Farmingdale, N.Y. The Rams shot a team total of 303 and defeated the Panthers by 63 strokes.

Sophomore Adam Larkin (Bellmore, N.Y.) led Farmingdale State with a 2-over par 73. Sophomore's Rich Kelly (Oceanside, N.Y.) and John Michael Haining (Hauppauge, N.Y.) each posted 76's, while freshman Matt Pollock (Northport, N.Y.) carded a 78.

Rams' freshman Rocco Costa (Massapequa, N.Y.), who was playing as an individual, shot a career-low round of 75.

Old Westbury was led by Jason Kondra who fired a team-best 77.

Farmingdale State next will travel to Mission Inn Resort in Howey-in-the-Hills, Fla. for the NCAA Division III National Championships on May 15-18.
