Bridgehampton, N.Y. - The Farmingdale State men's golf team is currently in fourth place after today's first round at the Long Island Intercollegiate Championship at The Bridge hosted by St. Joseph's College.

The Rams were led by sophomore Rich Kelly (Oceanside, N.Y.) who shot a team-low score of 80. Kelly birdied the final two holes and is currently in fourth place individually.

Dowling College shot a round one total of 318 and holds a 12 stroke lead over Suffolk CC. Nassau CC is in third (331) and the Rams are in fourth after a team-total of 338.

Dowling's Anthony Corsi and Kurt Brey each shot 75 and are tied for the lead. Darren McCormack of Suffolk CC is in third, one stroke behind the leaders.

The first tee-time for tomorrow's final round round is 9:30 a.m.
