Rams Win Cyclone Invitational, Larkin Captures Individual Title

Allamuchy, N.J. - The Farmingdale State men's golf team shot a team score of 307 to win the Cyclone Invitational hosted by Centenary College at Panther Valley Golf & Country Club. The Rams finished 23 shots ahead of runner-up Moravian College.

Sophomore Adam Larkin (Bellmore, N.Y.) captured the individual title after shooting a three over par 74 for Farmingdale State. Senior Chris Arnold (Hauppauge, N.Y.) finished in second place for the second consecutive tournament with a round of 76. Sophomore Rich Kelly (Oceanside, N.Y.) shot a six over par 77 and finished in third place individually. Sophomore John Michael Haining (Hauppauge, N.Y.) and freshman Andrew Debobes (Farmingdale, N.Y.) posted 80 and 83, respectively for the Rams.

Farmingdale State next will compete in the Skyline Conference Championship at the Bethpage State Park - Red Course on Sunday, October 23rd and Monday, October 24th. The winning team will receive the Skyline Conference's automatic bid to the 2012 NCAA Championship held at Mission Inn Resort & Club in Howey-in-the-Hills, Florida.
