New Hartford, N.Y. - The Farmingdale State men's golf team shot a two-day team total of 627 (316-311) to finish in eighth place out of 16 teams at the Hamilton College Fall Invitational. The first round was played at the Yahnundasis Club and the second round was at the Skenandoa Club.

The Rams were led by sophomore Adam Larkin (Bellmore, N.Y.) who tied for 10th place individually after shooting a pair of 76's (152). Sophomore Rich Kelly (Oceanside, N.Y.) carded an opening round of 77 at the Yahnundasis Club and followed that with a 79 at Skenandoa for a two-day total of 156 and a T28 finish. Sophomore John Michael Haining (Hauppauge, N.Y.) (82-77-159) and freshman Matt Pollock (Northport, N.Y.) (84-79-163) helped Farmingdale State en route to an eighth place finish.

Manhattanville College captured the team championship (605) with a four stroke victory over runner-up Williams College. Manhattanville's George Tischler was the tournament medalist with rounds of 69 and 75 (144).

The Rams next will travel to Hudson National Golf Club for the Manhattanville/NYU Fall Classic on Sunday, October 16th and Monday, October 17th.
