Farmingdale, N.Y. - Dowling College shot a two-day total of 626 to capture the Farmingdale State College Invitational at Bethpage State Park - Red Course. Dowling held a 21 stroke lead entering today's final round and after shooting a 325 this afternoon the Golden Lions finished 15 shots ahead of runner-up Farmingdale State.

The Rams were led by freshman Adam Larkin (Bellmore, N.Y.) who shot a 74 this afternoon, which was the lowest final round of any player in the field. Larkin finished in third place individually with a two-day total of 154. Freshman Rich Kelly (Oceanside, N.Y.) finished in a tie for fourth place with rounds of 78 and 79. Junior Chris Arnold (Hauppauge, N.Y.) carded a two-day total of 159 (79-80), finishing in eighth place individually.

Dowling's Kurt Brey earned medalist honors with scores of 73 and 79 (152). Brey finished one stroke ahead of teammate and runner-up Anthony Corsi (74-79). Nassau Community College's Cory Huberty and Brandon Romano of Dowling, both finished tied for fourth place with Kelly.

The Farmingdale State men's golf team next will travel to The Bridge in Bridgehampton, N.Y. for the Long Island Intercollegiate Championship hosted by St. Joseph's College on Wednesday, April 20th and Thursday, April 21st.
