Rams Capture Farmingdale State Skyline Invitational

Bethpage State Park – Red Course – Par 70 – 6,750 Yards


Farmingdale, N.Y. - The Farmingdale State men’s golf team shot a 302 to capture their Invitational at Bethpage State Park - Red Course. The Rams finished 20 strokes ahead of second place St. Joseph’s College.

Farmingdale State was led by sophomore Chris Arnold (Hauppague, N.Y./Hauppague) who earned medalist honors with a tournament low two-over par 72. Freshman Adam Larkin (Bellmore, N.Y./Mepham) from Farmingdale, finished in a tie for second place as he and St. Joseph’s Matt Ranum posted rounds of 73. Junior Joe Arnold (77) and sophomore Jack McKerlie (80) contributed for the Rams.

Rounding out the top 5 was Arnold (4th) and Purchase College’s John Magurno (79, 5th). Purchase finished in third place with a team-total of 327.

The Rams next will play in the NYU-Poly Invitational on Friday, October 1st, at Dyker Beach Golf Course.
