Rams Make Cut; Tied for 14th at National Championships

- Farmingdale makes cut at NCAA’s for first time in program history -

Hershey, Penn. - The Farmingdale State men’s golf team shot a team total of 303 on day two of the NCAA National Championships. The Rams who began the day in 19th place, are now tied for 14th place overall. With their 14th place standing after two rounds, the team made the cut for the first time in the programs history.

Senior Matt Livolsi (Stewart Manor, N.Y./Sewanhaka) shot a one-over par 73 today, while seniors Andrew Schwartz (Commack, N.Y./Commack) and Masa Maruyama (Yamanashi, Japan/Sundai) each shot rounds of 75. Maruyama is currently tied for 16th place individually at six-over par through two rounds.

(1) Methodist University leads the tournament (+25) and Tain Lee of Claremont Mudd Scubbs is five-under par and has a six shot lead over La Verne’s Mitchell Fedorka.

Farmingdale State tees off tomorrow at noon.
