Rams in Second Place After First Round of L.I. Intercollegiate

The Bridge - Par 72 - 6,800 Yards

Bridgehampton, N.Y. - The Farmingdale State golf team is currently in second place after today's opening round at the Long Island Intercollegiate Championship. The Rams shot a team total of 333 and trail Division II Dowling College by eight strokes. Nassau Community College is one stroke behind Farmingdale State and host school St. Joseph's College is in fourth place after posting a 344.

The Rams were led by senior Masa Maruyama (Yamanashi, Japan/Sundai) who is currently in third place after shooting an opening round of 78. Senior Matt Livolsi (Stewart Manor, N.Y./Sewanhaka) carded an 80, while senior Larry Hipp (Bethpage, N.Y./Bethpage), who is playing as an individual, shot a 79.

Dowling's Anthony Corzi shot a three-over par 75 in the windy conditions and is currently in first place. Corzi is one stroke ahead of teammate Luke Walters who posted a 76.

The first tee time for the tomorrow's final round is 10:30 a.m.
