Rams Lead by Two after Opening Round of Farmingdale Invitational

- Maruyama currently tied for 1st after shooting 73 -

Farmingdale, N.Y. – The Farmingdale State men’s golf team currently leads by two strokes after today’s opening round of the Farmingdale State College Invitational at Bethpage State Park – Red Course.  The Rams shot 316 and lead second place Nassau Community College by two, heading into tomorrow’s final round.

Senior Masa Maruyama (Yamanashi, Japan/Sundai) and St. Joseph’s Chris Manzello are currently tied for first place individually after posting rounds of 73. Farmingdale State senior Jim McLaughlin (Oceanside, N.Y./Oceanside) is in fourth place after shooting a six-over par 76. St. Joseph’s Matt Ranum (75 - 3rd) and Nassau’s Rob DeLeo (77- 5th) round out the top 5.

The first tee-time for the final round is 9:00 a.m.
