Saratoga Springs, N.Y. - The Farmingdale State men's golf team finished in third place at this weekends Palamountain Invitational in Saratoga Springs, N.Y. The Rams posted a two day team total of 628 (309-319).

Senior Masanao Maruyama (Yamanashi, Japan/Sundai) shot a two over par 74 in the opening round at Saratoga National. In the second round, Maruyama posted a 75, finishing in a tie for fifth place and earning All-Tournament Team honors with a two day total of 149. Senior Jim McLaughlin (Oceanside, N.Y./Oceanside) shot rounds of 75 and 81 take 15th place, while senior Andrew Schwartz (Commack, N.Y./Commack) (80-81) finished in 28th.

The Rams were in second place after day one, but finished four strokes behind eventual second place winner Manhattanville College (624). Host school Skidmore College was the tournament champions with a two day total of 596.

Skidmore's Ryan Floyd was the medalist, defeating teammates Chris DeJohn and Anthony Dilisio in a playoff.

The Rams will host the Farmingdale State College Invitational on Thursday, April 15th and Friday, April 16th at Bethpage State Park - Red Course. The first tee time for Thursday's opening round is 12:20 p.m.
