McLaughlin Wins Purchase Invitational by Six Strokes
Old Oaks Country Club - Par 70
Purchase, N.Y. - Senior Jim McLaughlin shot a
two-over par 72 this afternoon at Old Oaks Country Club, winning
the Purchase College Invitational by six strokes. McLaughlin hit
the first 17 greens in regulation, before a one putt bogie six on
the par 5 18th hole. He had four birdies on the fast greens of Old
Oaks Country Club.
The Rams were team champions with a score of 322. Farmingdale's Chris Arnold was the tournament runner-up with a 78.
Farmingdale State will host the Skyline Conference teams this Friday at Bethpage State Park - Red Course. The first tee-time is at noon.
