Farmingdale, N.Y. - Farmingdale State shot a school record 295 en route to capturing the 2008 Skyline Conference Golf Championship at Bethpage State Park - Red Course in Farmingdale, N.Y. With their victory, the Rams will now represent the Skyline Conference at the NCAA Division III National Championships on May 13 - 16 at the PGA Village located in Port St. Lucie, Florida.

Farmingdale State was led by individual champion Matt Livolsi, who posted a 73 on day two, giving him a two day total of 145. Livolsi defeated teammate Masanao Maruyama by three strokes. Maruyama shot a tournament low one-over par 71 on day two, highlighted by a two-under par 33 on the back nine. Farmingdale's Chris Arnold finished in 3rd place individually after shooting rounds of 76 and 73. Arnold's 73, a career low, included a two-under par 33 on the front nine. Joining Livolsi, Maruyama and Arnold on the Skyline All-Conference Team was Larry Hipp who finished 8th place individually (86 - 78) and Joe Russo who finished 9th (78 - 87).

St. Joseph's College was the tournament runner-up with a two day team total of 628. The Golden Eagles were led by Chris Manzello who finished in 4th place individually, after shooting rounds of 80 and 76. Teammates Matt Dennis and Charlie Essig finished in a tie for 5th, with two day totals of 158. Dan Rhodes finished with a total of 160 for St. Joe's. Rounding out the top 10 was Yeshiva's Max Gornish with rounds of 87 and 80.
