
Nassau Captures Farmingdale Invitational, Havas Wins
Individual Championship
Farmingdale, N.Y. – Defending junior college
national champion Nassau Community College captured the Farmingdale
State Invitational with a two day total of 622, defeating second
place Farmingdale State by 26 strokes. Nassau’s Dan Carr,
Matt Livolsi and Jim McGlaughlin each shot a second day low of 76
leading the Lions to the team championship.
Farmingdale State’s Kyle Havas captured the individual
championship shooting a two day total of 151 (73-78). Havas held
his three shot lead on day two holding off Nassau CC’s Juan
Sanchez who shot a two day total of 154 (76-78).
Mike Keaveny from St. Joseph’s College and Farmingdale
State’s Joe Russo posted two day totals of 163, finishing in
a tie for 7th place. Skyline Champion St Joseph’s College
finished in third place with a two day total of 665.
Farmingdale next travels to the Long Island Intercollegiate
Championship to be held April 24th and 25th at The Bridge, in
Bridgehampton, N.Y.
