2007 Skyline Conference Golf Championship

Montauk, N.Y. - Senior Mike Keaveny (Ronkonkoma, N.Y./Sachem) shot a two-day total of 166 (80-86) capturing the individual title while leading St. Joseph's College to the 2007 Skyline Conference Golf Championship. Keaveny trailed by one stroke to Farmingdale State senior Kyle Havas (Lindenhurst, N.Y./Lindenhurst) after day one and made up four strokes on day two to win the title by three shots. St. Joseph's, who defeated Farmingdale State College by 13 strokes over two days, placed five players in the top 10 en route to there second Conference Championship in the past three years.
St. Joseph's Anthony Oddone (Farmingville, N.Y./Valley Central) and Adam Coelho (Bayshore, N.Y./Islip) tied for 4th place individually with two-day totals of 173. Oddone shot a tournament-low 78 on day two for St. Joe's, who will now receive an automatic bid to the Division III NCAA Championships, to be held May 13-16, 2008 in Atlanta, GA. Farmingdale's Havas placed 2nd individually with a total of 169 (79-90) while junior Alec Salvitti (Patchogue, N.Y./ Patchogue-Medford) finished third (171) after posting a 79 on day two. Farmingdale had three players finish in the top ten while third place Yeshiva University saw two players round out the top ten in Robbie Silverman (8th place-179) and Josh Lasky (10th place-181).
