2006-07 Men's Golf Season Recap

The Farmingdale State men's golf team won the Skyline Conference Championship in the Fall season, earning the team's first-ever automatic bid to the NCAA Division III Championship. Farmingdale State placed four players in the Top-10 in capturing its first Skyline Conference golf title and second conference championship overall. The Rams finished 20 strokes ahead of second-place Manhattanville.

Junior Kyle Havas took the individual title in the Championship, becoming the second player in as many years to win as the medalist. Joining Havas in the Top-10 were sophomore Tim Pellegrino, senior Ryan Williams and sophomore Alec Salvitti, all were named to the All-Skyline Conference team.

The NCAA Division III Golf Championship is held during the spring season and this season was held in Carmel and Fishers, Indiana with a two-day qualifier at the Prairie View Golf Club and the Hawthorns Golf & Country Club. The Rams were in 31st place after the first day of the Tournament, while sophomore Andrew Schwartz finished with a two-over par 74 to stand in a tie for 9th place individually going into day two. The team finished in 31st overall with a combined score of 677. Individually, Schwartz finished 22-over and Havas finished 26-over.

Senior Ryan Williams will be the only player not returning for next season. Williams will graduate on Sunday, May 20th with a 3.70 GPA from the Management Technology program.
