RIVERHEAD, N.Y. - St. Joseph�s College placed three golfers in the top seven in capturing the 2005 Skyline Conference Golf Championship held on Sunday and Monday in a rainsoaked tournament at the Long Island National Golf Club. The Skyline golf title is the first for St. Joseph�s in the five year history of the event. Manhattanville College had captured the Skyline Golf Championship the first four years the event was contested.

Individually, Farmingdale State University sophomore Tom Koprowski (Happauge, N.Y.) fired a two-round total of 152 (74-78) and held off Centenary College junior Brian Flexer (77-77�154) for a two-stroke victory.

St. Joseph�s put together two rounds of 323 for a 646 team total - four strokes better than second-place Farmingdale State (330-320�650). Manhattanville, which held a slim three-shot lead over St. Joseph�s after Sunday�s opening round, finished third with a team total of 662 (320-342). Tournament newcomer Stevens Institute of Technology placed fourth with a team score of 668 (333-335). St. Joseph�s was paced by senior Kevin Jackson (Setauket,N.Y.) who finishd third overall with a two-round total of 155 (80-75). Sophomoes Dan Rhodes (Holbrook, N.Y.) and Mike Keaveny (Ronkonkoma, N.Y.) finished fourth (78-80�158) and tied for sixth (77-83�160) respectively.

The top five golfers in the tournament earned All-Skyline First-Team honors while the second five finishers earned Second-Team honors. Koprowski, Flexer, Jackson and Rhodes were joined on the first team by Farmingdale State freshman Andrew Schwartz (Commack, N.Y.). The All-Skyline second team consisted of Keaveny, B.J. Greaves (Manhattanville), Nicolas Menciere (Stevens), Mike Luzzi (Manhattanville) and Scott Mozeleski (Stevens).
