Golf Spring Season Report

Farmingdale State completed the fall 2004 season with a second place finish at the Skyline Conference Championship held at Tall Grass Country Club located in Shoreham, NY. Senior Rich Martin (82) and Sophomore Rob Ray (83) finished in the top seven earning them individual medals and All-Conference honors. Farmingdale finished just six strokes behind Champion Manhattanville College. Transfer Tom Koprowski was the low scorer for Farmingdale throughout the fall, posting scores of 78, 79 and 80.

Martin graduated in the Fall with a degree in Security Systems and became the first Farmingdale golfer to compete four years. The Rams completed a successful spring season winning 9 out of 10 dual matches, including victories over Stevens Tech, Kings Point, Yeshiva and St. Joseph's. They finished in second place at the first anuual Farmingdale Invitational, a two-day event held at Bethpage Red. Tom Koprowki finished in third place out of 30 golfers with a low score of 75 as Farmingdale fell to only Division II Dowling College.

Koprowski led Farmingdale in scoring average, as both he and Patric Santiago had averages under 80. Santiago posted the low score of the year, shooting an even par 71 at Tall Grass Country Club. Freshman Kyle Havas and Chris Garrido posted low rounds of 77 in the Spring.
