FARMINGDALE, N.Y. | The ABCA/Rawlings and D3baseball.com All-Region teams were released recently, and Farmingdale State College senior right-hander Stephen Clancy (Mineola, N.Y.) was selected as the Region 3 Pitcher of the Year on both lists. He was also named to the All-Region 3 First Team in both slates, while teammate and senior center fielder Vincent Napolitano (Bellmore, N.Y.) took home third-team kudos on the ABCA/Rawlings list.
In his 66 full innings of work, Clancy, the Skyline Conference Pitcher of the Year in 2022, led the conference in ERA (1.64), opposing batting average (.186), strikeouts (85) and victories (9) in his senior campaign, while tying for the third-highest mark with three saves. He ranks fourth nationally in WHIP (0.77), 10th in strikeouts-to-walks ratio (10.62), 11th in ERA, 13th in complete games (5) and 16th in wins.
From his leadoff position in the batting lineup, Napolitano played in all 37 of the Rams' games this spring, leading his side with a .364 batting average, .538 slugging percentage, 31 runs scored, 48 hits, 11 doubles and 10 stolen bases.
The D3baseball.com All-America list is scheduled to be released on June 1, while the ABCA/Rawlings list is scheduled to be published June 2.
