Rams Claim Top-Seed; Will Host Skyline Baseball Championship

Farmingdale, N.Y. - The Farmingdale State baseball team posted a 14-4 record in conference play and have claimed the top-seed for the upcoming Skyline Conference Baseball Championship.

The six-team field is set for the 2018 Skyline Conference Baseball Championship with first-round action set to get underway Wednesday afternoon on campus sites before Friday commences the four-team, double-elimination portion, which will be contested at Farmingdale State College.

FSC awaits Wednesday afternoon's winner of fifth-seeded SUNY Maritime College and fourth-seeded U.S. Merchant Marine Academy; that contest will take place at Lower Roosevelt Field in Kings Point, N.Y. at 3:30 p.m.

St. Joseph's College-Long Island has also earned a bye into the double-elimination portion of the championship and awaits the winner of Wednesday's 3:30 p.m. contest between sixth-seeded SUNY Old Westbury and third-seeded Mount Saint Mary College (game to be played in Newburgh, N.Y.).

The winner of the championship receives the Skyline's automatic bid to the 2018 NCAA Division III Baseball Championship.

Game 4: 3 p.m. - SJC-LI vs. Game 2 winner
Game 5: 6 p.m. - Game 3 loser vs. Game 4 loser
