Greensboro, N.C. - The 2016 ABCA/Rawlings NCAA Div. III All-Region teams and Regional Players of the Year have been announced in all eight regions. The teams are voted on by members of the American Baseball Coaches Association and the process is led by the ABCA NCAA Div. III All-America Committee.

The Farmingdale State baseball team had two players earn All-Region honors as junior pitcher Matt Seelinger (Westbury, N.Y.) was a Second Team selection and freshman outfielder Nick Attardi (Smithtown, N.Y.) was named to the Third Team.

Seelinger, the Skyline Conference Pitcher of the Year, finished the season with a 4-1 record and a 3.24 ERA. Over 58.1 innings pitched, he recorded a team-high 63 strikeouts, walked only 17 batters and held opposing batters to a .195 average. Seelinger led the conference in opponents batting average, ranked second for strikeouts and third in hits allowed. In Division III, Seelinger was 28th for hits allowed per nine innings (6.33) and 33rd in WHIP (0.99).

Attardi, the Skyline Rookie of the Year, led the conference and ranked 34th in the Nation with a .420 batting average. Attardi posted a conference-leading .514 on-base percentage, was second in walks (23) and fifth for hits with 50. He recorded five extra-base hits and led Farmingdale State in runs scored (30) and slugging percentage (.487).
