New York, N.Y. - Each week the Skyline Conference highlights one student-athlete for their success on and off the field. This week the Skyline Spotlight features Farmingdale State senior Edward Bergmann.

2013-14 Season Highlights: Bergmann, the starting centerfielder for the Rams, leads the team with a .533 batting average…he is 8-for-15 at the plate with five runs scored, five RBI and is a perfect 5-for-5 in stolen bases…went 4-for-5 with two runs scored and two RBI in the Rams' 9-8 win over Brockport State on Mar. 8…has three outfield assists already this season...earned Skyline Player of the Week honors to open the 2014 campaign on Mar. 10. 

Career Highlights: Bergmann has appeared in 102 games to date throughout his four-year career at Farmingdale State…has tallied 33 stolen bases and 62 hits, including six doubles and two triples…holds a career fielding percentage of .971…has nine career assists from the outfield...hit .321 in 2013 with 14 stolen bases while making 22 starts...made 30 starts as a sophomore in 2012...

In The Classroom: Bergmann is a Criminal Justice major and holds an impressive 3.45 grade point average.  He was named to the Skyline Commissioner's Honor Roll in 2011, 2012 & 2013.
