Farmingdale, N.Y. - The 2013 Capital One All-District Baseball Teams, selected by the College Sports Information Directors of America, have been released to recognize the nation's top student-athletes for their combined performances athletically and in the classroom.
Farmingdale State junior starting pitcher Michael Dolce (St. James, N.Y.) has been named First Team Academic All-District - District 3 (N.Y.).
Academically, Dolce is a Criminal Justice major and holds an impressive 3.73 cumulative grade point average.
Athletically, he leads the team with a 5-0 record and a 0.57 earned run average. Dolce has allowed three earned runs in 47.2 innings pitched, while striking out 6.61 batters a game. He is ranked second in the nation for earned run average this season.
Dolce is now on the national Capital One Academic All-American ballot.
