FARMINGDALE, N.Y. | The 2023 Academic All-District At-Large Teams for men's and women's lacrosse, selected by College Sports Communicators, were released this week, and a quartet of Farmingdale State College student-athletes were recognized by the organization for their successes both on and off the field.

Rams' women's lacrosse defenders Kristin Stabiner (So.; Queens, N.Y.) and Adrianna Schiavone (Sr.; Seaford, N.Y.), as well as men's lacrosse offensive players Steven DiCarlo (So.; Farmingdale, N.Y.) and Jake Wandle (Sr.; Rocky Point, N.Y.), all collected praise for posting a 3.5-plus grade point average (4.0 scale) and serving in key roles on their respective teams.

Stabiner, a business management major, started in all 18 games on defense this spring for head coach Erin Calkins's side, picking up a career-best 21 ground balls while causing seven turnovers.

Schiavone started in all 16 of her appearances for the green and white, and the criminal justice major ranked second and third on her team in ground balls (32) and caused turnovers (14), respectively.

DiCarlo, a business management major and midfielder for head coach Sean Chamberlain's squad, scored 19 points in his 15-game campaign on 10 goals and nine assists.

Wandle, recently selected to participate in the USILA Division III Senior All-Star Game, leaves Farmingdale State as its all-time leading scorer with 208 points (127 goals, 81 assists) from his attacker position. He ranks second on the program's all-time leaderboard in goals, and third in assists.
