NEW YORK | The Skyline Conference announced its latest spring weekly award winners Tuesday, with seven Farmingdale State College student-athletes receiving accolades and four others garnering honor-roll praise.

Outdoor Track and Field | Men's Skyline Report | Women's Skyline Report

The women's team captured its fifth-consecutive Skyline Conference Championship Sunday afternoon in Kings Point, N.Y., while the men's contingent checked in with a runner-up finish.

Women's junior sprinter Alexxis McNeil (Valley Stream, N.Y.) and senior distance runner Alycia Haynes (Adams Ctr., N.Y.) were named the Co-Track Athletes of the Year; McNeil won the 100 and 200-meter dashes while also running on the victorious 4x100 and 4x400 meter relay teams, while Haynes picked up three second-place finishes (800m, 1500m, 5000m). On the men's side, senior thrower Jahvirye Wilks (Farmingdale, N.Y.) turned the same trick in the discus, hammer throw and shot put to earn Co-Field Athlete of the Year kudos. All three student-athletes took home weekly recognition from the Skyline on Tuesday, as well.

With the May 6-7 NJAC Championships approaching, head coach Daniela Georgieva's teams will gear up by competing this Friday and Saturday at the TCNJ Lions Outdoor Invitational in Ewing, N.J.

Men's Tennis (12-3, 6-1 Skyline)Skyline Report

The Rams rounded out regular-season action with a 3-0 week, defeating non-conference foe Lehman on Tuesday before picking up Skyline wins against Merchant Marine (Wed.) and St. Joseph's-Long Island (Sat.).

Senior Mark Baker (Baldwin, N.Y.) collected his second-straight Player of the Week award, after stretching his No. 1 singles and doubles winning streaks to 12 and 11, respectively. The latter mark has been achieved with freshman Ryan Hendel (No. Merrick, N.Y.), who garnered an honor-roll citation after winning the Rookie of the Week award in the last two reports.

Head coach Adam Waterhouse's Farmingdale State team is seeded second in this week's six-team Skyline Conference Men's Tennis Championship, and the Rams will play host to the winner of Tuesday's St. Joseph's-Long Island/Yeshiva match on Thursday afternoon at 5 p.m.

Softball (17-8, 9-1 Skyline) | Skyline Report

Farmingdale State moved its winning streak to 13 games, after sweeping weekend twinbills against conference foes Mount Saint Vincent (Sat.) and St. Joseph's-Long Island (Sun.).

Junior outfielder Jenna Giliberti (Bellmore, N.Y.) earned her second Player of the Week award from the Skyline in the last three reporting periods, after extending her hitting streak to nine games with a .538 week (7-of-13) at the plate with six runs scored, three stolen bases, one double and one triple.

Sophomore right-handed pitcher Ava Shorr (No. Babylon, N.Y.) earned an honor-roll mention after a 2-0 week in which she posted a 0.58 ERA, won her eighth and ninth consecutive starts, and tossed her fourth career no-hitter (and second in a seven-day span) in Sunday afternoon's nightcap against the Golden Eagles.

Head coach Liz Pennino's side is on the road for a pair of Skyline doubleheaders this weekend, playing at Purchase Saturday at 11 a.m., before facing off against host Mount Saint Mary on Sunday at noon.

Men's Lacrosse (12-3, 3-2 Skyline) | Skyline Report

FSC collected a road Skyline win Wednesday at Mount Saint Vincent, 23-4, before capturing an 18-11 decision on Senior Day versus Manhattanville on Saturday afternoon.

Senior attacker Rob Varello (Smithtown, N.Y.) and junior face-off specialist Antonio Kaminskey (Lindenhurst, N.Y.) took home Offensive and Defensive Player of the Week awards from the Skyline, respectively. Varello had an 18-point week (13 g, 5 a), including a career-high-tying 10 (7 g, 3 a) Saturday versus the Valiants. Kaminskey won 42-of-55 (.764) faceoffs with 33 ground balls, helping the Rams offense to valuable possession time in a 41-goal week.

Head coach Sean Chamberlain's team rounds out regular-season play with two Skyline games this week, traveling to Purchase for a 7 p.m. contest on Tuesday before playing host to St. Joseph's-Long Island, Friday at 4 p.m.

Women's Lacrosse (6-8, 4-2 Skyline)Skyline Report

After falling in non-conference play Wednesday night at regional mainstay Rowan, Farmingdale State celebrated Senior Day in style on Saturday with an 18-0 triumph versus Purchase.

Senior Ashley Codispoti (Patchogue, N.Y.) and junior Dominique Baldino (Island Park, N.Y.) both collected honor-roll mention from the Skyline, with Codispoti posting an eight-point week (4 g, 4 a) and Baldino, a defender by trade, earning a two-save shutout in her goalkeeping debut Saturday against the Panthers.

Head coach Erin Calkins will direct her team in two Skyline games to round out regular-season action, playing host to Mount Saint Vincent at 4 p.m. Wednesday, before traveling to Manhattanville Saturday at noon.

Baseball (15-12, 7-5 Skyline) Skyline Report

The Rams picked up a 1-0, nine-inning victory Friday in the resumption of its March 26 Skyline game against Mount Saint Vincent, before falling Saturday at UMass Dartmouth. FSC got back on the winning track Tuesday afternoon, garnering a Skyline sweep at Yeshiva.

Head coach Keith Osik's squad plays three Skyline doubleheaders this week, beginning Tuesday at Yeshiva (11 a.m.; Palisades Park, N.Y.), Saturday vs. St. Joseph's-Brooklyn (noon) and Sunday vs. Old Westbury (noon).

Golf

Farmingdale State placed third at Saturday's FSC Spring Invitational, and will travel Friday to Mount Saint Mary College's Spring Invitational at the Powelton Club in Newburgh, N.Y.
