Softball (13-8, 5-1 Skyline) | Skyline Report

The Rams have now won nine-consecutive contests, including sweeps last week against Hunter (Tue.), Baruch (Thu.), Old Westbury (Sat.) and Sarah Lawrence (Sun.). In the latter twinbill to round out the week, senior Allie Stanya (Manorville, N.Y.) and sophomore Ava Shorr (No. Babylon, N.Y.) each tossed five-inning no-hitters versus the Gryphons.

Shorr was named the Skyline's Pitcher of the Week after posting a 4-0 record with a 0.25 ERA, while freshman Samantha Stolfi (Pt. Jefferson Station, N.Y.) received Rookie of the Week praise following her 13-RBI stint in which she hit .370. Junior right fielder Jenna Giliberti (Bellmore, N.Y.) was cited on the weekly honor roll, as she batted .500 with nine runs, nine RBI and eight extra-base hits.

A pair of Skyline Conference doubleheaders at FSC await head coach Liz Pennino's squad this weekend, including Saturday's 4 p.m. slate as the away team against College of Mount Saint Vincent, and Sunday's noon start versus St. Joseph's-Long Island.

Outdoor Track and Field

Trophy season awaits head coach Daniela Georgieva's Rams this weekend, as they are in action Sunday at 10 a.m. at the 2023 Skyline Conference Outdoor Track and Field Championships, which are being hosted by the U.S. Merchant Marine Academy in Kings Point, N.Y.

Women's Lacrosse (5-7, 3-2 Skyline) | Skyline Report

FSC won both of its Skyline outings last week, defeating Mount Saint Mary by an 11-6 count on Wednesday before dispatching Old Westbury on Saturday, 14-1.

Sophomore Molly Espey (W. Hempstead, N.Y.) collected Rookie of the Week accolades after scoring six points and scooping as many ground balls during the two-game stretch. Weekly honor roll recipients included senior netminder Ronnie Reilly (Oceanside, N.Y.), junior mid Megan Diamond (Dix Hills, N.Y.) and senior attacker Athena Vogiatzis (Holtsville, N.Y.). Diamond reached the 100-point and 100-draw control milestones, while Vogiatzis buried her 100th career goal versus the Panthers.

After a non-conference date at Rowan University on Wednesday night at 6 p.m., head coach Erin Calkins will lead her team into a Senior Day contest at home Saturday at 11:30 a.m., versus Purchase College.

Men's Tennis (9-3, 4-1 Skyline) | Skyline Report

Farmingdale State has now won eight of its last nine showings, including last week's 3-0 slate against Hunter (Wed.), Saint Joseph of Connecticut (Thu.) and Skyline foe Purchase (Sun.).

Senior Mark Baker (Baldwin, N.Y.) received the Skyline's Player of the Week award after running his top-flight singles winning streak to nine matches, while he has teamed with freshman Ryan Hendel (No. Merrick, N.Y.) -- who received a weekly honor roll mention -- to win eight-consecutive matches at No. 1 doubles.

The Rams' regular-season ledger wraps up with three matches this week, including Tuesday in non-conference play versus Lehman (4:30 p.m.), and against Skyline opponents U.S. Merchant Marine Academy (away; Wed., 4 p.m.) and St. Joseph's-Long Island (home; Sat., noon). Additionally, FSC will celebrate Senior Day on Friday at 2 p.m., in advance of its home exhibition matches versus Nassau Community College.

Baseball (12-11, 4-5 Skyline) | Skyline Report

FSC split a pair of Skyline doubleheaders over the weekend, going 1-1 both on Saturday when it played host to Little League Day against the U.S. Merchant Marine Academy, and on Sunday versus Mount Saint Mary College. In the first game on Sunday against the Knights, Farmingdale State head coach Keith Osik picked up his 400th career victory as the Rams' bench boss.

Earning a spot on the Skyline's weekly honor roll was senior right fielder Bobby Pollock (Manorville, N.Y.), as he hit two more homers to take over both the program's single-season (eight) and career (13) records.

The Rams will resume their previously suspended, extra-inning affair in the top of the eighth inning against Skyline foe Mount Saint Vincent at home on Friday at 3 p.m., before traveling to road doubleheaders at UMass Dartmouth (Sat., noon) and conference opponent Yeshiva (Sun., 11 a.m.).

Men's Lacrosse (10-3, 1-2 Skyline) | Skyline Report

The Rams collected a 16-5 win in conference play Tuesday night against Mount Saint Mary, before falling at defending Skyline champion Maritime College on Friday.
