COMPLETE SKYLINE RELEASE

NEW YORK | The Skyline Conference announced its Fall 2022 Scholar-Athletes of the Year, and a trio of Farmingdale State College student-athletes collected kudos in their respective sports.

In women's soccer, senior defensive midfielder/central defender Mackenzie Caterina (Walden, N.Y.) and senior keeper Lindsey Jolly (Massapequa, N.Y.) shared praise in their sport with Bridgette Lee of Sarah Lawrence College. Additionally, FSC junior golfer Chris Iguchi (Centereach, N.Y.) split accolades with Ryan Moran of Manhattanville College.

The Scholar-Athlete of the Year Award is presented in each sport to the first-team All-Skyline performer who carries the highest grade point average (minimum 3.30) for the semester in which the student-athlete competes.

Caterina split time in her first year as a starter for FSC between center back and defensive midfielder, helping the Rams to post six shutouts in conference action and eight overall. Her first goal of the season late in the semifinals match at Mount Saint Vincent (Nov. 2) on a set-piece situation iced the contest for the Rams.

Jolly started in 11 of her 15 appearances in the Rams' net, posting a 1.00 goals-against average and .797 save percentage that ranked second and third in the Skyline, respectively. She was in on seven clean sheets for FSC, with five of the solo variety, including the Nov. 5 championship final at Sarah Lawrence in which her three saves helped keep the game scoreless through 110 minutes of action.

Iguchi helped the Rams to a Skyline title, and finished third individually at the league championship with a two-day score of 149 at Bethpage State Park's Red Course. After the FSC school records of 68 (lowest score) and minus-4 (lowest in relation to par) were tied twice in the fall, Iguchi shattered both marks, shooting a 66 (minus-5) at The Melee at Riverview Country Club in mid October.
