FSC Winter Athletics Update #10

NEW YORK | The Skyline Conference and New Jersey Athletic Conference recently released their weekly award winners from the period of Jan. 16-22, and two Farmingdale State College student-athletes collected weekly honor roll praise for their performances on the basketball court.

Men's Basketball (11-6, 6-2 Skyline) | Skyline Report

The Rams picked up a Tuesday night, double-digit victory over Maritime before falling in an overtime contest on the weekend to Manhattanville. FSC continues to lead the South Division in the Skyline Conference standings.

Senior swingman Nick Hurowitz (Mt. Sinai, N.Y.) was cited on the Skyline's weekly honor roll after averaging a double-double (19 ppg, 11.5 rpg) over the two-game stretch.

Head coach Brendan Twomey's side has a pair of road conference contests this week, including Wednesday night's 7 p.m. tip-off at Mount Saint Mary, and Saturday's noon start at Sarah Lawrence.

Women's Basketball (4-12, 3-8 Skyline) | Skyline Report

The Rams played a pair of midweek contests last week, and followed up a setback at Mount Saint Vincent by scoring a 61-50 decision over Old Westbury on Thursday night.

Freshman guard Victoria Kantzian (Staten Island, N.Y.) earned weekly honor roll kudos from the Skyline after registering averages of 13 points and five steals per contest.

Head coach Mark Dellecave's FSC squad plays a 5 p.m. game Wednesday night at USMMA, before welcoming Manhattanville to the Walter A. Lynch Sports Center on Saturday at noon.

Indoor Track and Field | NJAC Men's Report | NJAC Women's Report

The Rams took part in Friday night's NYC Gotham Cup at the Ocean Breeze Athletic Complex in Staten Island, with student-athletes from both sides posting personal records along the way.

Head coach Daniela Georgieva's Rams are back in action Feb. 3, when they travel to the New Balance Track & Field Center at the Armory in Manhattan for the NYU Division III Invitational.
