FARMINGDALE, N.Y. | In preparations for the Thanksgiving season, the Farmingdale State College Student-Athlete Advisory Committee (SAAC) is sponsoring a food drive over the next several days in Nold Hall to donate to the Island Harvest organization.

A donation box (a list of items sought is at the end of this release) is set up just inside the main doors to Nold Hall, and will remain through Monday night, Nov. 14.

Additionally, the SAAC is strongly encouraging those fans attending Saturday's Farmingdale State basketball doubleheader to bring donations with them to the contests. The women's basketball team tips off versus Albertus Magnus College at noon, before the men's basketball squad plays host to Ramapo College at 2:30 p.m. The food collection will then be delivered to the Island Harvest offices in Melville, N.Y., on Tuesday (Nov. 15), in time for the organization's distribution island-wide for the Thanksgiving holiday.
