Men's Soccer | Skyline Report

Farmingdale State has now won seven in a row, including five-consecutive shutouts, following a five-day stretch in when it posted clean sheets at Maritime (Fri., 5-0), and versus Yeshiva (2-0, Sun.) and Sarah Lawrence (Tue., 5-0) to wrap up regular-season play. The Rams locked up the No. 2 seed for the 2022 Skyline Conference Men's Soccer Championship, and earned a first-round bye to next Thursday's (Nov. 3) semifinal round against either the U.S. Merchant Marine Academy or defending champion College of Mount Saint Vincent.

The Rams swept Wednesday morning's weekly Skyline awards, with senior midfielder Luke Kasulke (Seaford, N.Y.) named Offensive Player of the Week, senior center back Joe Innamorato (W. Babylon, N.Y.) Defensive Player of the Week, and freshman winger Tyree Baskin Jr. (Freeport, N.Y.) Rookie of the Week.

Kasulke collected his first-career hat trick at Maritime before providing an assist in the eventual game-winner over previous conference leader Yeshiva. He also contributed on the defensive end for the Rams, which posted two clean sheets in as many games last week.

Innamorato has directed the Rams' defense to five-consecutive clean sheets, including shutouts at Maritime and YU. His defensive performance anchored FSC, which allowed just four shots on target over the 180 minutes of play on the week.

Baskin Jr. provided his third assist on the season, and second in a three-match stretch, in a victory at Maritime. He collected his first-career game-winning goal (his third tally of the campaign) in the 20th minute of action during the Rams' 2-0 victory over YU.

Golf Skyline Report

The Rams won their record 14th Skyline championship over 36 holes (Sun.-Mon.) at Bethpage State Park's Red Course, as head coach Ryan Williams's side has now earned automatic qualification to the 2023 NCAA Division III Men's Golf Championship at Keene Trace Golf Club (Nicholasville, Ky.), May 16-19.

Junior Brad Castaldy (Dix Hills, N.Y.) was named Player of the Year, and on Wednesday Player of the Week, after earning medalist honors at the tourney with a two-day total of 141 (plus-1). Freshman James Quinlan (Poughquag, N.Y.) earned Co-Rookie of the Week and of the Year accolades after tying for seventh place (plus-16, 156). All five Rams in the lineup -- including juniors Mackenzie Kim (East Quogue, N.Y.), Liam Miller (Ronkonkoma, N.Y.) and Chris Iguchi (Centereach, N.Y.) -- collected All-Conference honors. Williams was also named Co-Coach of the Year in his first championship at the helm of the team.

Women's Soccer | Skyline Report

The Rams tied conference opponents Sarah Lawrence, 1-1, and Manhattanville, 0-0, last week and now sit at 8-8-3 overall and 8-0-2 in the Skyline.

Senior Celina Schenk (Ronkonkoma, N.Y.) was tabbed the Defensive Player of the Week for the first time this season. Schenk played the entire 180 minutes last week (1 GA, 0.50 team GAA, and 1 SHO on the week), helping FSC stay atop the Skyline standings from her outside back position. She sent in the dangerous corner kick early on in the 1-1 tie against Sarah Lawrence to set up FSC's goal in the contest – just the third goal the Gryphons have conceded in conference play on the campaign.

FSC will close their regular season schedule with a Skyline matchup at Mount Saint Vincent on Wednesday afternoon. Kick-off is scheduled for 3:30 p.m.

Women's Volleyball | Skyline Report

The women's volleyball team has now won 12 consecutive matches, including three last week over Old Westbury (3-0), Sarah Lawrence (3-0) and Baruch (3-2) before earning a 3-0 shutout win at Yeshiva on Tuesday night.

She hit .318-plus in all three matches, having done so in six-straight outings and eight of her last nine. Ricketts hit .500 against Old Westbury before putting down 12 kills at Sarah Lawrence. She added 13 kills and two solo blocks in guiding the Rams to a five-set decision at Baruch.

Farmingdale State will finish their regular season schedule with two home matches: Thursday vs. Maritime at 7:00 p.m. and Friday vs. Bard at 6:00 p.m.

Women's Tennis | Skyline Report

The Rams won the final two matches of the 2022 fall regular season as they defeated conference foes Mount Saint Mary, 9-0, and St. Joseph's-Long Island, 5-4.

FSC swept the weekly awards for the third time this season with senior Anastasia Hoffman (Massapequa, N.Y.) and freshman MacKenzie Gisler (Ronkonkoma, N.Y.) earning Player and Rookie of the Week honors, respectively.

She also collected a pair of top-flight doubles matches to round out the regular season undefeated against Skyline competition. In doubles, she teamed with Amanda Jones for 8-2 doubles victories against Mount Saint Mary and St. Joseph's-Long Island in a battle for the top seed. In singles play, Hoffman dispatched MSMC's Julia Flynn by identical 6-1 scores midweek before besting SJ-LI's Angela Avecillas Martinez, 6-1 and 6-0, to help the Rams to a 5-4 triumph.

Gisler, who previously won a Skyline Player of the Week, earns her first Rookie of the Week award this season. She wrapped up her freshman campaign undefeated in Skyline competition with 6-0 marks at No. 2 doubles and No. 4 singles, going 2-0 in both areas last week. Against Mount Saint Mary, she teamed with Lien Collings to defeat the Knights' Blanca Ayala Santana and Victoria Valencia by an 8-0 score before besting Ayala Santana in singles action, 6-0 and 6-1. In the battle for first place and the No. 1 seed versus St. Joseph's-Long Island, the duo knocked off Haley Celona and Madison DiPalo by an 8-2 count in doubles play before Gisler earned a 6-3, 6-0 decision in singles over Celona.
