NEW YORK | The Skyline Conference released its latest edition of weekly reports Tuesday morning, and six Farmingdale State College student-athletes were featured prominently with weekly accolades.

Women's Tennis (2-1, 1-0 Skyline) | Skyline release

Head coach Adam Waterhouse's team picked up two wins by 8-1 scores last week, defeating Skyline foe Yeshiva on Wednesday before knocking off Lehman on the road in non-conference play Saturday.

Sophomore Lien Collings (Merrick, N.Y.) picked up the Skyline's Player of the Week award, after winning both of her No. 1 doubles (along with last week's recipient, Anastasia Hoffman), and each of her No. 2 singles matches along the way.

Freshman Amanda Jones (Mastic Beach, N.Y.) garnered Rookie of the Week kudos in the release, won both of her No. 2 doubles (with classmate MacKenzie Gisler) on the week, while also picking up a No. 3 singles decision against YU.

The Rams have three non-conference matches this week, facing FDU-Florham on the road Wednesday afternoon (4 p.m.) before playing host to Baruch (Thursday, 4:30 p.m.) and Hunter (Saturday, noon).

The Rams took third place in both the men's and women's competitions Saturday at the Purchase College Invitational, with a pair of FSC student-athletes placing second in their respective races along the way.

Senior Alycia Haynes (Adams Ctr., N.Y.) was named the Skyline's Women's Runner of the Week after crossing the finish line on the 5k course in a time of 20:46.1 that was good for the top Division III mark in the event.

On the men's side, senior Matthew Calogianes (Deer Park, N.Y.) was cited on the Skyline Men's weekly honor roll, as his second-place finish on the 8k loop (28:24.3) was, like Haynes, the top Division III time in the race.

Head coach Daniela Georgieva's FSC squads are off this week, and will return to action Sept. 25 (Sun.) at the Mount Saint Mary College Invitational in Milton, N.Y., at the Hudson Valley Sports Dome.

Golf | Skyline release

The Rams took first place in Friday's Mount Saint Mary Skyline Opener in Newburgh, N.Y., before tying for ninth-place in The Gauntlet (Harrisburg, Pa.) during a 36-hole competition over the weekend.

Junior Mackenzie Kim (East Quogue, N.Y.) won the Skyline's Player of the Week award, after collecting medalist honors Friday (even-par 70), and tying for second place at The Gauntlet after shooting a four-under-par 68 in Monday's final round. That round ties the school records for the lowest score, and the lowest round in relation to par.

Freshman James Quinlan (Poughquag, N.Y.) was named to the Skyline weekly honor roll, registering a plus-6 total of 76 in Friday's opener, which was good for a tie for sixth place individually.

Head coach Ryan Williams's Farmingdale State contingent is back in action at Bethpage State Park's Red Course on Saturday and Sunday, when it plays host to the inaugural George Cangero Invitational, named in honor of the late Rams head golf coach.

Men's Soccer (1-3) | Skyline release

Head coach Chuck Schimpf's team took a 4-1 victory Monday night at Brooklyn College in its first action in over a week. The Rams wrap up play this week on Wednesday night, when they play host to Baruch College in a 6 p.m. kickoff.

Women's Soccer (1-4, 1-0 Skyline) | Skyline release

The Rams opened Skyline play last Wednesday with a 10-0 decision over visiting Yeshiva on Wednesday, before a pair of setbacks against strong competition on the weekend to seventh-ranked Misericordia and St. Lawrence University.

Head coach Chris Roche's FSC side will travel Wednesday to No. 2 The College of New Jersey for a 4 p.m. start, before traveling to the greater Philadelphia area Saturday for a 1 p.m. kickoff at Arcadia University.

Men's Tennis

Waterhouse's Rams will open the fall portion of their schedule Tuesday afternoon, when it plays host to FDU-Florham at 4:30 p.m.

Women's Volleyball (0-2) | Skyline release

Non-conference play took to the road Thursday night for the Rams, who fell at Drew University in New Jersey. The road swing continues for head coach Kellie Block's Farmingdale State team with a pair of road matches this week, as it will travel to Western Connecticut for a 6 p.m. start on Wednesday, before facing host John Jay College in Manhattan on Friday night at 7 p.m.
