- Haggerty, Kaminskey and Walker earn major weekly awards -


New York, N.Y. - The Skyline Conference released its third spring weekly report on Monday, March 28th, including Player of the Week, Rookie of the Week, Honor Roll and Conference statistics. The New Jersey Athletic Conference (NJAC) released their Track, Field and Rookie Athletes of the Week for men's and women's outdoor track.

Men's Lacrosse Update (6-1, 0-0 Skyline) - Skyline Full Report

In their lone game last week, FSC earned a 22-3 home victory over non-conference opponent Alvernia.

Senior attack Terrence Haggerty (Centerport, N.Y.) was named Offensive Player of the Week and freshman midfielder Antonio Kaminskey (Lindenhurst, N.Y.) was tabbed Defensive Player of the Week.

Haggerty totaled a game-high nine points with five goals and four assists in the win over Alvernia.

Kaminskey controlled the midfield as he went 15-for-20 on faceoffs and picked up a game-high 10 ground balls.

This week the men's lacrosse team will travel to Mount Saint Mary for their conference opener on Saturday at 1:00 p.m.

 

Softball Update (9-2, 0-0 Skyline) - Skyline Full Report

Farmingdale State swept New Paltz in a non-conference doubleheader last week by scores of 6-1 and 5-2.

Freshman first baseman Brooke Walker (Hampton Bays, N.Y.) was named Skyline Conference Player of the Week. Walker went 4-for-6 in the DH, scoring four times and adding a solo home run.

Sophomore pitcher Allie Stanya (Manorville, N.Y.) claimed a spot on the Honor Roll after tossing a complete game eight-hitter allowing one unearned run.

The Rams are slated to play three doubleheaders this week: Thursday vs. Hunter @ 4:30 p.m., Saturday at Old Westbury (games at FSC) @ 11:00 a.m. and Sunday vs. Sarah Lawrence @ noon.

 

Baseball Update (7-8, 2-2 Skyline) - Skyline Full Report

The baseball team dropped a DH vs. Maritime and rebounded with a sweep of Mount Saint Vincent in a 2-2 week.

Senior center fielder Vincent Napolitano (Bellmore, N.Y.) was named to the Player of the Week Honor Roll after posting a .583 average in 12-at bats.

This week Farmingdale State will play two conference doubleheaders: Saturday vs. Manhattanville @ noon and Sunday at Mount Saint Mary @ noon.

 

Women's Lacrosse Update (2-6, 0-0 Skyline) - Skyline Full Report

The Rams dropped a pair of non-conference road games to both Montclair State (14-4) and Kean (16-3) last week.

FSC will play two Skyline Conference games this week: Wednesday at Mount Saint Mary @ 7:00 p.m. and Saturday vs. Manhattanville @ 1:00 p.m.

 

Men's Tennis Update (0-0, 0-0 Skyline) 

The men's tennis spring opener against Brooklyn College on Saturday was postponed due to rain.

This week the Rams will play a pair of matches: Thursday vs. Baruch @ 4:30 p.m. and Saturday at St. Joseph's-LI @ noon.

 

Outdoor Track Update  - NJAC Men's Report    NJAC Women's Report

The outdoor track teams opened the season at the Stockton Invite in Galloway, N.J.

Sophomore Joseph Stocken VI (Miller Place, N.Y.) led the men with a second place finish in the 400m hurdles and a third place finish in the 110m hurdles, while sophomore Alycia Haynes (Adams Center, N.Y.) recorded a victory in the 1500m for the women.

This week Farmingdale State will travel to the Merchant Marine Academy for the Coach Omeltchenko Invitational on Sunday.

 

Men's Golf Update 

FSC will compete in the Kiln Intercollegiate at Hawk Pointe Golf Club in Washington, N.J. on Saturday & Sunday.
