- Haggerty, Kaminskey, Pollock and Loeffler earn Skyline weekly awards - 


New York, N.Y. - The Skyline Conference released its first spring weekly report on Monday, March 22nd, including Player of the Week, Rookie of the Week, Honor Roll and Conference statistics.

Men's Lacrosse Update (1-0, 1-0 Skyline) - Skyline Full Report

The Rams opened the 2021 season with a 23-4 road victory at Purchase College.

Senior attack Terrence Haggerty (Centerport, N.Y.) was named Skyline Conference Offensive Player of the Week. He registered a game-high nine points (6 g, 3 a) in his opening half of play in a Rams uniform Friday at Purchase.

Freshman midfielder Antonio Kaminskey (Lindenhurst, N.Y.) earned Skyline Conference Rookie of the Week honors after going 12-for-15 on faceoffs and picking up a game-high seven ground balls. 

FSC next will play host to St. Joseph's-Long Island on Friday, April 2nd at 7:00 p.m.

 

Baseball Update (3-1, 3-0 Skyline) - Skyline Full Report 

The baseball team posted a 3-1 mark in the season opening weekend versus Manhattanville. The Rams won all three conference games and fell in the non-conference game on Sunday.

Sophomore outfielder Bobby Pollock (Manorville, N.Y.) was tabbed Skyline Conference Player of the Week. Pollock hit .545 (6-for-11) in a three-game conference sweep for the Rams over Manhattanville with four runs scored, 6 RBI, two walks, a double and a home run. He went 4-for-6 against the Valiants on Saturday with a grand slam to put the nightcap out of reach. Pollock also added two runs and as many RBI with a 2-for-5 display in Sunday's opener.

Junior pitcher Stephen Clancy (Mineola, N.Y.) claimed a spot on the Honor Roll after tossing five innings of two-hit shutout ball in game two on Saturday. Clancy held opposing batters to a .125 average at the plate.

This weekend the Rams will host Purchase (DH) on Saturday at noon and travel to Purchase (DH) on Sunday at 11:00 a.m.

 

Softball Update (2-2, 2-1 Skyline) - Skyline Full Report 

Farmingdale State was 2-2 on the week in a four-game set versus St. Joseph's-Brooklyn.

Sophomore Christina Loeffler (East Meadow, N.Y.) was named Skyline Conference Pitcher of the Week. She posted a 0.62 ERA with one earned run over 11.1 innings pitched in conference play for the Rams against St. Joseph's-Brooklyn, including a complete-game three-hitter on Saturday surrendering one unearned run. The Bears hit .135 on the weekend against the sophomore.

Sophomore center fielder Priscilla Rivera (Brentwood, N.Y.) earned a spot on the Honor Roll after going 6-for-8 at the plate on the week with two doubles, two runs scored and 3 RBI. 

This week the FSC softball team will travel to Manhattanville (DH) on Saturday at noon and host the Valiants (DH) on Sunday at noon. 

 

Women's Lacrosse Update (1-0, 1-0 Skyline) 

The Rams recorded a 20-2 season opening victory over Purchase. Sophomore attack Julia Tuohy (Port Jefferson Station, N.Y.) registered a game-high 10 points on six goals and four assists to go along with two caused turnovers.

The women's lacrosse team returns to action on Monday, March 29th with a road game at Merchant Marine at 7:00 p.m. 

 

Men's Tennis Update (0-0, 0-0 Skyline) 

The men's tennis team opens the season on Tuesday, April 6th with a home match against St. Joseph's-Long Island at 4:30 p.m.

 

Women's Tennis Update (0-0, 0-0 Skyline) 

The women's tennis team kicks off 2021 on Saturday, April 10th at 12:30 p.m. when they host St. Joseph's-Long Island. 

 

Men's Golf Update 

The Rams begin the season with the FSC Skyline Invitational at Bethpage Red on Friday, April 9th.

 

Outdoor Track Update

The outdoor track teams open the year on April 10th at the Merchant Marine Invitational.
