Team-Record Score Lifts Golf to Win at FSC Skyline Invitational

FARMINGDALE, N.Y. | The Farmingdale State College golf team's hot play continued Friday afternoon at Bethpage State Park's Red Course (par 70), as the Rams set a school record with a plus-7 round of 287 to win the seven-team FSC Skyline Invitational.

FSC received a medalist round from junior Chris Iguchi (Centereach, N.Y.), as he followed up his school-record round of 66 last weekend by shooting a 68 (minus-2) -- including an eagle on the par-4 eighth hole when he holed out from 117 yards away with his pitching wedge.

Classmate Brad Castaldy (Dix Hills, N.Y.) placed second individually with a plus-1 round of 71, while junior Mackenzie Kim (E. Quogue, N.Y.) checked in with a third-place showing of 73 (plus-3). Junior Liam Miller (Ronkonkoma, N.Y.) tied for fourth place with a plus-5 round of 75, while freshman James Quinlan (Poughquag, N.Y.) and junior individual competitor Kristian Srica (Farmingdale, N.Y.) each shot 78 on the day.

Head coach Ryan Williams's Farmingdale State team is back at Bethpage's Red course on Sunday and Monday (Oct. 23-24), for the 2022 Skyline Conference Golf Championship. First-round play on Sunday gets underway at 10 a.m.
